The Postal Service implemented price increases impacting First-Class Mail, Standard Mail, Package Services, Media Mail and Extra Services on January 22, 2012. Your Hasler scale or mailing machine requires the January update in order to automatically calculate the correct postage and Extra Services fees for postcards, letters, large envelopes and parcels.

USPS Shipping Services (Competitive)

The Postal Service implemented a price increase for Priority Mail, Express Mail and International shipping services and letters on January 22, 2012. Mailing equipment requires the January update in order to correctly calculate postage for Priority Mail and Express Mail (expedited mail, packages, flat-rate envelopes or flat-rate boxes), as well mail pieces and flats weighing more than 13 ounces.
