The M5000 offers the features that enable mailrooms to do it all in-house - quickly, easily, accurately and efficiently, while saving money. It is suitable for small runs, or for a wide variety of larger applications, eliminating the need to purchase separate feeders. The high capacity envelope hopper can hold up to 325 envelopes, while each of the three multi-functional FlexFeed feeder stations hold up to 325 pieces - nearly twice the competition - and can handle cards and documents up to 14" in length. For the ultimate in flexibility, the Fill and Start feature on the M5000 allows novice users to simply load documents and envelopes and then run the job.

Each feed station and insert area is equipped with Double Document Detection (DDD) that "senses" actual material thickness rather then just paper density. This means superior accuracy regardless of paper color, texture or thickness. The Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) software (optional) allows the M5000 to easily and accurately process sensitive jobs with varying numbers of pages.
