| Hasler, Inc. has introduced the M5000, a versatile, medium volume desktop folder/inserter system that efficiently automates the tedious and costly processing of folding, stuffing and sealing envelopes. The M5000 collates, folds, inserts and seals up to eight folded documents - in a single pass - at a rate of up to 3,500 filled envelopes per hour, with an ease of operation that allows virtually anyone to handle the task quickly and in house. The M5000 Folder/Inserter replaces Hasler's M4000 and offers automatic setup, high capacity document and envelope feeding, in-line metering capability and a host of other important mail processing features. The M5000 has the technology to collate up to six pages - stapled or loose - of varying sizes in any order, and tri-fold the entire set to fit neatly into an envelope. It allows you to automate all your mailings, including letters, checks, cards, invoices, statements and marketing materials - even pre-folded flyers. With its quiet and smooth operation, along with a small footprint, the M5000 fits perfectly in any office environment. The Perfect In-House Resource The M5000 offers the features that enable mailrooms to do it all in-house - quickly, easily, accurately and efficiently, while saving money. It is suitable for small runs, or for a wide variety of larger applications, eliminating the need to purchase separate feeders. The high capacity envelope hopper can hold up to 325 envelopes, while each of the three multi-functional FlexFeed feeder stations hold up to 325 pieces - nearly twice the competition - and can handle cards and documents up to 14" in length. For the ultimate in flexibility, the Fill and Start feature on the M5000 allows novice users to simply load documents and envelopes and then run the job. Cutting Edge Efficiencies Each feed station and insert area is equipped with Double Document Detection (DDD) that "senses" actual material thickness rather then just paper density. This means superior accuracy regardless of paper color, texture or thickness. The Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) software (optional) allows the M5000 to easily and accurately process sensitive jobs with varying numbers of pages. In addition, HaslerFlash allows your M5000 to be conveniently connected to a PC or laptop so service technicians can quickly upload the latest software updates and download machine performance reports. That means optimum system performance, quicker system recovery and maximum productivity. |
